I snuck into the Golden Globes by pretending to be a reporter – and partied with Kylie Jenner and Billie Eilish

A British man has revealed how he had the time of his life after sneaking into the Golden Globes by pretending to be a member of the UK press.

Husnain Asif, from Middlesbrough, had a night to remember at the prestigious ceremony, which honours the best in film and American television – and even partied with Kylie Jenner and Billie Eilish.

The prankster, 24, happened to be staying in Los Angeles when a passerby mentioned that the Golden Globe awards were taking place nearby on January 7th.

Although he didn’t have an official invitation, the savvy influencer worked his way into the ceremony by impersonating a reporter and showing his UK driver’s license.

Despite boasting of his entry into the glitzy night and rubbing shoulders with A-listers like Margot Robbie and Tyga, he claimed the bash was ‘snobby as f**k’.

‘It was fun but snobby as f**k’ said Husnain.

‘I had interactions with a woman who thought I owned yachts and she was condescending. I was asking people to take pictures of me and they would say “no” and walk about.

‘It was fun but so snobby – I could not be in that world constantly’.

A lucky Husnain had pre-packed a smart suit for nights out in LA, which ended up being perfect for the occasion.

As he wasn’t invited and didn’t have a ticket, he retreated to his hotel and quickly donned the suit, intending to impress his way past security and on to the event.

With the suave suit on, he shockingly managed to get past a security guard, even though he asked Husnain for identification.

He added: ‘I already had a suit with me anyway so I put that on and I was ready to go.

Once he got there, he saw a group of people dressed up and queued for entry.

He said: ‘I walked behind a group of people who were dressed in suits and dresses and they looked very smart.

‘The security guard asked for passes which was a red ID card and then I looked in my wallet and all I had was my UK driver’s licence. They looked down at my wallet and said it was fine and they let me in.’

After convincing the bouncer that he was a member of the British press, he was led straight through to the media area.

He spent the rest of the evening rubbing shoulders with the stars and even managed to pose for a photo with superstar singer Billie Eilish.

And despite dining on free steak and sushi, the influencer still had a few complaints.

‘The inside was very bougie as it was sponsored by Moet champagne and Fiji Water’, he said.

‘There were loads of appetisers to choose from and the food was ranging from steak to sushi.

‘I don’t find rich people’s food very nice, I’d much rather have a burger and chips but saying that, the deserts were incredible.

Once he was in, Husnain partied the night away with Billie Eilish, Kylie Jenner, James Charles and Margot Robbie – all through to the afterparty with Tyga.

He added: ‘I spoke to Billie Eilish about her music for a while and she was the nicest person there’.

Husnain has gone viral after making filmmaker Christopher Nolan take a tumble over the champagne stand – footage which has now reached over 11m views.
