Prince Andrew’s old flame Lady Victoria Hervey sells £50 T-shirt claiming photo of Duke of York with Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre is fake (don’t all rush at once!)

The infamous photograph of Prince Andrew in a clinch with Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre turned the Royal into a social pariah.

Now his old flame has turned it into a business opportunity. Lady Victoria Hervey is so sure that the notorious photograph has been doctored – which includes convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell looking on – that she had it printed on a T-shirt with ‘Faked’ emblazoned across the front.

And in the wake of the publicity generated when she was first spotted wearing it in Barbados last month, she’s launched a clothing firm selling copies for £50.

Lady Victoria, daughter of the 6th Marquess of Bristol, dated Andrew briefly in the 1990s. Through social media posts she has previously insisted that the photo of her ex was doctored.

The picture, which shows the then 41-year-old Prince Andrew with his arm around the waist of 17-year-old Ms Giuffre – then Roberts – was considered key evidence in a civil lawsuit against the Royal. Ms Giuffre claimed she was forced to have sex with Andrew, having been trafficked by paedophile Epstein. The Prince, who stepped back from public duties over his links to Epstein, strenuously denies the claims. An out-of-court settlement was reached in 2022, with Andrew making a substantial donation to Ms Giuffre’s charity, without admitting any liability.

Lady Victoria, 47, believes the picture was altered with Andrew’s head superimposed on to Epstein’s body. She also says she believes the original was taken at a yacht party in St Tropez for model Naomi Campbell‘s birthday, instead of – as is widely accepted – at Maxwell’s house in London. Incredibly, she claims her T-shirt was designed by the man who took the original photo.

Speaking to The Mail on Sunday last night, she said: ‘What inspired me to start [the clothing line] was the man who I believe to be the real photographer made the first T-shirt for me. I got so many requests I started the new website.’ The site, called The Faked, describes the T-shirt as ‘a playful way to spark conversations and challenge perceptions of reality’.

The photographer who obtained a copy of the photo for the MoS from Ms Giuffre in 2011, says any claims that it is fake are ‘ridiculous’.
