Ten OnlyFans models say they were duped ‘after signing up for bogus £850-a-day Hunted-style “battle of the babes” contest that would be streamed on Amazon and Netflix’

Ten OnlyFans models have claimed they were tricked and let down after allegedly signing up for a bogus £850-a-day Hunted-style TV reality show contest.

Army vet Alfred McArthur, director of the project called Survivor, is said to have sent contracts to the women who were told the show would involve them trying to evade capture by Special Force teams.

But a red carpet event in January was called off and the ‘battle of the babes’ programme – billed as being similar to Channel 4‘s fugitive-inspired Hunted – has since been pulled.

Now the women say they have been left out of pocket after paying for special training in preparation for taking part in the programme they were told would be streamed on Amazon and Netflix and in the US on the Weather Channel.

Mr McArthur has insisted the plans were genuine and that he had been in talks for networks via a US producer only for it to recently fall through.

Playboy star Kayleigh Wanless, 32, who has 15,000 OnlyFans subscribers to her OnlyFans page, said: ‘It was just a fantasy that has hurt a lot of women.’

Kayleigh, from Newcastle, said models became suspicious about the project’s lack of progress and raised concerns, the Sun reported.

She said: ‘He said there were loads of women he could get to do it and we were working with an American TV network now and not Babestation so we should be more professional.

‘There were lots of red flags and toxic traits. That was when it hit us all that it was a hoax.’

And fellow model Paige Starr, 35, said: ‘It is worrying someone can sell something like this as reality and it is a load of rubbish.’

Mr McArthur, of Dunoon in Argyll and Bute in Scotland, told the Sun that Survivor was ‘a real thing, it wasn’t fake’.

He added: ‘It got pulled roughly five weeks ago – when the can was pulled, they went ape.

‘They said they’d lost out on money, this, this and this.

‘I was like, “Ladies, I told you this was going to happen” – too many girls wanting this, wanting that, stupid demands for a make-up artist.

‘I cannot justify having a make-up artist with us – that’s just not going to happen and they knew that.’

MailOnline has contacted Mr McArthur for comment.

Meanwhile, Kerry Katona has been speaking about her own OnlyFans career, saying it’s no different to Hollywood stars who film sex scenes for movies.

The 43-year-old former Atomic Kitten star turned to the X-rated subscription site in 2020 to boost her dwindling finances and has the approval of her five children and fiancé Ryan Mahoney.

She has previously revealed she has earned more than £1million posting photos including topless shots on OnlyFans.

Sopranos actress Drea de Matteo last week praised OnlyFans for ‘saving her life’ after her refusal to have the Covid-19 vaccine cost her acting gigs and left her with just $10 in her bank account.

The 52-year-old actress said she was initially reluctant to join the adult subscription service last year, but says the racy uploads have proved lucrative enough to save her from losing her home.
